Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk: A splash of creamy milk helps create the perfect pudding base for this fluffy dessert.
  • 3.4 oz box of vanilla pudding mix: Instant vanilla pudding gives this fluff a smooth texture and rich vanilla flavor in just minutes.
  • 8 oz container of whipped topping (thawed): Soft and airy whipped topping adds a delightful cloud-like consistency to every bite.
  • 1 lb of fresh strawberries (sliced): Juicy, fresh strawberries bring vibrant color and sweet bursts of flavor throughout the dessert.
  • 1 cup of mini marshmallows: Mini marshmallows add a fun, chewy sweetness that kids (and adults!) absolutely love.
  • 2 cups of angel food cake (diced into cubes): Soft, airy angel food cake cubes lend a subtle sweetness and heavenly texture to the fluff.
  • 1/2 cup of crushed graham crackers: Sprinkled crushed graham crackers provide a deliciously crunchy contrast.

Tips for Making the Perfect Strawberry Shortcake Fluff

  • Fold Gently: Always fold your ingredients gently instead of stirring. This keeps the fluff airy and ensures the texture stays wonderfully creamy.

  • Use Fresh Strawberries: Choose ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor and juiciness. Sweet berries will truly enhance your dessert.

  • Chill Before Serving: For optimal flavor and consistency, refrigerate the fluff for at least 30 minutes before serving, although it can also be enjoyed immediately if you’re short on time!

  • Save Extra for Topping: Set aside some extra strawberry slices and cubes of angel food cake to garnish the top. It makes the dessert look beautiful and appealing.

  • Crush Graham Crackers Just Before Serving: To maintain that delicious crunch, add crushed graham crackers right before serving.

  • Don’t Overmix the Pudding: Mix the pudding and milk just until thickened, as overmixing can make your fluff less airy.

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days. If needed, refresh with a sprinkle of fresh graham crackers or berries before serving again.

Get Creative!

  • Berry Medley: Mix in raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries along with strawberries for a delightful mixed-berry twist.

  • Chocolate Lovers: Drizzle chocolate sauce or sprinkle mini chocolate chips on top for an indulgent dessert upgrade.

  • Layer it Up: Create parfait-style layers in individual serving cups or mason jars, alternating fluff with extra berries and cake pieces.

  • Nutty Crunch: Add toasted almonds, pecans, or walnuts to give your dessert extra texture and flavor.

  • Citrus Zest: Add a little lemon or orange zest into the fluff for a fresh, citrusy kick that enhances the sweetness.

  • Flavor Variation: Switch out vanilla pudding for cheesecake or white chocolate pudding mix for a tasty flavor twist.

  • Ice Cream Treat: Serve a scoop of fluff alongside vanilla ice cream for an extra special summertime dessert.

Serving & Storing

  • Serve Immediately or Chilled: This dessert is delicious right away or after chilling in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour for extra refreshment.

  • Garnishing Tips: Top with extra slices of fresh strawberries, cubed angel food cake, or a sprinkle of crushed graham crackers for an appealing presentation.

  • Perfect for Dipping: Offer additional graham crackers on the side for dipping or scooping—it’s both fun and tasty!

  • Store Properly: Keep leftovers fresh by storing them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Enjoy within 3–4 days for optimal taste and texture.

  • Avoid Freezing: This dessert is best enjoyed fresh, as freezing can change its fluffy texture and creaminess.
