Tips for the Perfect Crumbl Copycat Confetti Cake Cookies
-
Don’t skip the creaming step: When mixing the butter and sugar, make sure to cream them together for a few minutes until light and fluffy. This gives the cookies that melt-in-your-mouth texture!
-
Let the dough chill (if you have the time): If you can, let the cookie dough chill for 15-30 minutes before scooping. It helps the cookies hold their shape better while baking, plus it gives the flavors a chance to develop.
-
Use a cookie scoop for uniform cookies: Using an ice cream scoop or cookie scoop helps ensure all your cookies are the same size, so they bake evenly and look perfectly uniform.
-
Don’t overbake: Keep an eye on the cookies while they bake. Pull them out when the edges are golden and the center is just set. They’ll continue to cook on the baking sheet once you take them out of the oven!
-
Fresh sprinkles, please: Sequin sprinkles give your cookies that extra fun factor, but make sure you add them right before baking. They’ll melt into the dough and look adorable. If you add them after baking, they won’t have the same effect!
-
Frosting with a swirl: When frosting the cookies, pipe a swirl pattern for that Crumbl-inspired look. If you’re feeling extra creative, top with more sprinkles for a colorful finish.
-
Room temp butter and cream cheese: For the frosting to come out perfectly smooth and creamy, make sure both the butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature before mixing. No lumps here!

Get Creative!
-
Try different sprinkle colors: While the classic sequin sprinkles are a must, why not mix it up with themed sprinkles for holidays or celebrations? Rainbow sprinkles, holiday-themed ones, or even custom colors to match a party theme will make these cookies even more fun!
-
Flavor swaps: If you’re not a fan of princess cake emulsion, you can easily swap it for almond extract or a different flavoring. Just be sure to adjust the amount to your taste, as some flavorings can be stronger than others.
-
Mix in some chocolate: Add a handful of mini chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate into the cookie dough for a delicious twist. It gives the cookies a sweet, creamy flavor that pairs perfectly with the frosting.
-
Create a sandwich: Make these cookies extra indulgent by turning them into cookie sandwiches. Just pipe some frosting between two cookies and maybe add a sprinkle of extra toppings for a dessert that’s even more over-the-top.
-
Decorate with toppings: Instead of just frosting, add a layer of crushed candy, chopped nuts, or mini marshmallows for a fun texture. These additions can make your cookies even more festive and delicious.
-
Make them smaller or larger: Feel free to adjust the size of the cookies based on your preference. You can make mini bite-sized versions for party treats or go big for a decadent dessert!

Serving & Storing
-
Perfect for any occasion: These cookies are great for birthdays, celebrations, or just a fun treat to enjoy with a cup of coffee. They’re sure to brighten up any dessert table or bring smiles to your family and friends!
-
Let them cool completely: Before frosting, make sure the cookies are completely cooled. This will prevent the frosting from melting and give you that perfect creamy swirl on top.
-
Storing leftovers: Keep your cookies fresh by storing them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. If you want them to last longer, pop them in the fridge, where they’ll stay good for about a week.
-
Freezing for later: You can freeze these cookies, either frosted or unfrosted. Just place them in a single layer on a baking sheet, freeze until solid, and then transfer them to an airtight container or freezer bag. They’ll stay fresh for up to 2 months!
-
Serving tips: These cookies are best served at room temperature, so if they’ve been refrigerated, let them sit out for about 10-15 minutes before serving. This brings out the best in the flavor and texture.
